KY pneumatic diaphragm pump operation and safety precautions

  WARNING 1: Excessive gas pressure can result in personal injury, damage to the pump or property damage.

  ● Do not exceed the maximum allowable value indicated on the diaphragm pump nameplate.

  ● Install the supporting piping and other components to ensure that they can withstand the maximum pressure generated by the pump.

  Warning 2: Static sparks. Static sparks can explode, causing serious injury. Connect the pump to the piping system ground.

  ● Sparks can ignite flammable materials and steam.

  ● When the pump draws in, flushes, recirculates or sprays flammable materials, such as paint, solvents, wax paint, etc., or when the ambient atmosphere around the pump can cause natural, the pump delivery system and the injected liquid must be grounded. .

  ● Ensure the safety of the pump, connecting accessories and all contact points to avoid vibration and contact or static sparking.

  ● For special cases, please consult the local grounding requirements of the local building installation regulations and electrical regulations.

  ● After connecting the ground wire, periodically check the continuity of the grounding circuit: test with an ohmmeter to ensure the continuity of each component (including the accessory) to the grounding terminal. The ohmmeter should display a value of 0.1 ohms or less.

  ● Use a hose with an electrostatic wire.

  ● Use the correct ventilation

  ● Keep flammable materials away from heat, open flames and sparks.

  ● When not using the pump, be sure to turn off the source of the inlet and outlet equipment.

  Warning 3: The exhaust of the pump may contain impurities, which may cause adverse consequences. Please remove the pump discharge from the workplace and the operator.

  ● The diaphragm is a consumable part. When the diaphragm is broken, the pumped material may be forcibly discharged from the muffler. If the pumped liquid is hazardous or flammable, be sure to pipe the effluent to a safe area.

  WARNING 4: Dangerous pressure, which can result in serious injury or property damage. Do not repair or clean the pump body, hose or accessories when the system is pressurized.

  • Disconnect the air supply line and relieve pressure from the system by opening the dispense valve or device, or carefully and slowly loosening and removing the outlet hose or tubing from the pump.

  WARNING 5: Hazardous materials that may cause serious injury or property damage. Please do not return the pump with hazardous materials to the Xiangyang factory or the repair center. Safety practices must comply with local and national laws and safety regulations.

  Warning 6: Explosion hazard. Models containing aluminum contact parts cannot be used with trichloroethane, methylene chloride or other hydrogen halide solvents. These volumes may react and explode.

  ● Before using with such solvents, check the motor end of the pump, the fluid column, the inlet and outlet piping, and all parts that come into contact with the liquid to ensure compatibility.

  2. Be careful

  CAUTION 1 Verify the chemical compatibility of the pump with the liquid contact and the liquid being transported. Chemical compatibility may vary with the temperature and concentration of the liquid delivered by the pump. For compatibility with specialty chemicals and pump materials, please consult your specific chemical manufacturer.

  CAUTION 2 The maximum temperature resistance is based only on mechanical stress. However, certain chemicals will significantly reduce the maximum safe operating temperature. Check with the chemical manufacturer for chemical compatibility and temperature limits. Refer to the pump data on page 1 of this manual.

  CAUTION 3 Make sure that all operators of the equipment have been trained to understand safe operating practices, understand the limits of the equipment, and wear safety clothing and goggles when needed.

  CAUTION 4 Do not use a water pump as the support structure for the piping system. Make sure that the piping system is properly installed and secured to prevent pressure on the pump components. The inlet and outlet connecting pipes of the pump must be flexible and cannot be connected by rigid pipes.

  CAUTION 5 When the pump is not applied for a long time, disconnect the air supply pressure of the pump and stop the pump.
